Welcome to the Concord-Carlisle High School Theater Arts web pages

In the fall of 2005, CCHS began an academic theatre arts program with the intent of integrating dramatic performance with classroom education. Using a formal standards-based curriculum, the program will eventually encompass a wide range of theatre and drama topics, including acting and directing fundamentals, theatre history, stage technology and design, dramatic criticism, and Elizabethan theatrical practices. The intent is to expose students to many aspects of the theatrical world and give them a foundation for either further study in college or a fundamental basis for appreciation of theatre in their adult lives. Attempts will be made to coordinate formal productions with classroom work and give students the opportunity to participate in all aspects of theatrical productions.

Theater Courses being offered during the 2007-2008 school year are:

  • TECHNICAL THEATRE DESIGN & PRODUCTION I, II
  • SHAKESPEARE FROM PAGE TO STAGE (ELIZABETHAN THEATRE)
  • CONTEMPORARY SOCIAL ISSUES THEATRE WORKSHOP
  • INTRODUCTION TO THEATRE (THEATRE I)
  • THEATRE II
