Barnum-Feed the Kids information for parents

January 11, 2006

Dear Parents of “Barnum Students”,

Rehearsals have begun for this year’s production of Barnum. Our young people will be jumping, singing, building, juggling, dancing, painting, all with one goal, a great show.

The parents of students involved are asked to support these efforts. One of the main volunteer opportunities is the Feed the Kids program. During vacation week the cast, pit orchestra, and crew are served a meal, and snacks and water are available throughout the days of rehearsal. A menu is posted and parents are asked to help prepare, serve and clean up.

Tech week, the week before the show opens, rehearsals start after school and can run into the evening hours. That week after school snacks, water and dinner is provided.

There is a charge of $50 per student to help cover the cost of supplies, but we really do rely on parents donating food items. Students in the pit orchestra are charged $45. The pit does not come to rehearsal Monday 2-21. Please contact us if financial aid is needed at this time.

Please consider volunteering for Feed the Kids. We would love to have you, it really is tremendous fun. Call or email either one of us with any questions you may have. See you at the circus!

Sincerely,
