MISS SAIGON PARENT'S MEETING, THURS, JAN 8, 6 pm, Little Theatre

There will be a brief meeting for all parents of students (cast, pit orchestra and tech crew) involved in Miss Saigon. Important information regarding schedules, expectations, "Feed the Kids" & personal tribute ad forms will be distributed.

CCPOPS-announce email list

All parents of students involved in performing arts at CCHS should sign up. Students should sign up too. The CCPOPS announce list is for sending time-sensitive or otherwise important information to the CCHS performing arts community, including the CCPOPS newsletter Noise from the cheap seats. Sign up for CCPOPS-announce. This does not sign you up as a member of CCPOPS. Please do that below.

CCPOPS membership

You can register for CCPOPS membership. Membership in CCPOPS is open to anyone willing to help. Let us know your areas of interest. This also registers you as a user of this web site and allows you to post comments on certain pages if you log in. This does not sign you up for the CCPOPS-announce email list. Please do that above.

Volunteer Opportunities

To help with any of the items below, please contact president(at)ccpops(dot)org

  • Webmaster for this web site. Someone who knows the technical side of web sites and computers. Learn from the outgoing webmaster this year, transition into the job for next year.
  • A team of parents to coordinate the front of house for the dramatic and musical productions
  • A costume manager for the shows, this person will not be responsible for all the costumes for all the shows. We feel it is important to have a central figure to coordinate the volunteers, both students and parents.
  • A publicity coordinator to centralize the distribution of posters, painting of signboards advertising the shows and concerts, and to make sure press releases are received by the local papers in a timely manner.

The person we really need is you. We don’t know what we are missing without your participation. The talented young people involved in the performing arts at CCHS have wonderfully talented parents and we are so thankful that many parents give their time and energy to CCPOPS. There are lots of ways large and small that you can help CCPOPS with its mission of supporting the Performing Arts at CCHS. These are just some of the jobs that need doing (if you don't see something here that resonates for you, don't assume that we don't need you; we welcome all help, have lots of other jobs that require little time, and especially welcome new ideas).

Web Site

We have upgraded our web site software. This will give us some great new ways to communicate and coordinate our activities. If you find any technical difficulties with the new site, please drop a note to webmaster@ccpops.org and let us know.
